This was initially just going to be me telling you why you should go and pre-order this tape based on the pleasure of hearing the preview track, but I have now been very fortunate enough to listen to the entire thing (including the tracks exclusive to the physical cassette release). And now you have to believe me when I tell you to bust out a couple of quid on this beast.
Dead Houses – Like To Know/Greys [Single Review]
First thing to get out of the way, if you didn’t know anything about this band when first listening to them, you would be easily mistake Dead Houses as a new band that Guy McKnight from Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster has started. If that does happen to be something you want, then this band is an immediate winner.

Jonny Shitbag And The Smokes – You Could Not Have Given The Slightest Of Fucks [Album Review]
Anyone who pays the vaguest of attention to this site will know that we have very recently reviewed a single from these fellows, and if you actually read that then you may remember that I was intrigued as to how the full album ended up sounding. If all of this is news to you, check out Distract Me and come back to us (partly because it isn’t on the album and also because I’m probably going to refer to that review way too much because I haven’t slept and my mental capacity is focussed on keeping me awake right now).

Salt The Snail – Spanish Announce Table [Single Review]
What is it with bands and horses these days?

Narcos Family Band – Pink Blues
In all honesty, one reason why Cauteriser went a bit quiet is because I got bored of the constant samey doom/sludge/metally albums that just offered the same qualities for me to write about. Now this… although not too far apart by sound, is a whole other level at the same time.
Jonny Shitbag And The Smokes – Distract Me [Single Review]
I have mentioned a few times about being drawn into a review by a title or back story; this one pretty much tops everything to date…

Talking Bollocks #3 – 2017 Retrospective
YO! I dropped off the face of the earth for a while there, making brief appearances for the personal requests that I got. What a better way to return than to do one of those obligatory “best of the year that has just done finished” posts.
